MontaVista Software Inc. Hires Kristin Anderson as Director of Support

MontaVista Software Inc. has announced the hiring of Kristin Anderson as director of support. Anderson brings 16 years of experience in support and services management from Hewlett-Packard Co. and will lead MontaVista's support and services team, which includes telephone, e-mail and on-line technical support; Hard Hat Linux porting and customization; and embedded and real-time Linux professional services. The company's principal offering is the Linux(R) operating system tailored for embedded software applications. MontaVista partners with Force Computers Inc., Motorola Computer Group, Ziatech Corp., and WinSystems Inc. to provide Hard Hat Linux on their CompactPCI(R) and single-board computer (SBC) platforms. The company's Subscription Plans also provide Linux support, porting and customization services to customers worldwide.
