Atipa Linux Solutions, a leading full-service provider of Linux solutions, announced that it is receiving more than $30 million in new capital funding from an investment group led by investment affiliates of Soros Private Equity Partners LLC, TA Associates, and WR Hambrecht + Co.
The third round of financing comes on the heels of several strategic steps the company has taken recently toward its goal of being a leading player in the expanding Linux marketplace. Atipa Linux Solutions is one of the largest suppliers of pre-configured Linux workstations, servers, and clusters for information management today. The company partners with other technology and market leaders to make its products available in complete Linux solutions for businesses of all sizes. Atipa provides Linux solutions based on Red Hat (Nasdaq:RHAT), SuSE, Caldera, and Corel Linux (Nasdaq:CORL). The new funding will enable the company to leverage significant capital resources in strategic initiatives that are key to becoming a premier Linux enabler.
