Dragon Linux: Easy Information Technology releases Chinese version of easyLinux

Easy Information Technology, Inc., a German company that develops open source software, has announced the release of Dragon Linux, a version of its easyLinux distribution designed for the Chinese market. The alpha pre-release will be shown at the Singapore Linux Conference in March, and the beta version is planned to be shown at the Spring Comdex in Chicago in April. Dragon Linux uses the latest version of the Linux kernel and provides rich development environments for C/C++, Java, Perl and other scripting tools. It also includes StarOffice(tm) by SUN Microsystems and features a graphical user interface based on KDE. EasyLinux is the first Linux distribution conceived for the desktop and has pioneered graphical user interfaces for many OpenSource programs. The Dragon Linux edition implements Chinese characters based on the Unicode standard.
