Linux NetworX, a provider of large-scale clustered computer solutions, has raised more than $5 million in equity funding from private investor Canopy Group. The company uses the Linux operating system to create reliable and cost-effective alternatives to supercomputers for organizations demanding high performance and extremely low failure rates. With this new funding, Linux NetworX plans to develop additional cluster technology and services, acquire products, form strategic partnerships, and extend market penetration.
