Lineo Acquires INUP to Expand Embedded Linux Support

Lineo, Inc., a leading developer of embedded Linux system software, has announced an agreement to acquire INUP, a provider of fault-tolerant Linux-based clustering solutions for embedded devices. This acquisition rounds out Lineo's technology offering and provides embedded Linux support for the complete range of embedded devices. The two companies will leverage their complementary resources to expand high availability technology into world-wide markets. INUP is headquartered in Saint-Ouen, France and will remain intact as an additional resource for Lineo's sales, development and marketing departments. With this acquisition, Lineo now has offices in Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the USA.
