Li18nux Releases Draft Specification for Globalization of Linux Systems

The Li18nux initiative has released a draft specification for globalization of Linux systems. The LI18NUX2000 specification includes the best of globalization functionality and allows for UNICODE-based multi-lingual capabilities in a portable manner across Linux distributions and UNIX systems. The specification is expected to be available in August 2000 and will allow for internationalized versions of Linux distributions to be released within this year.
