SuSE and Arkeia Announce Compatibility with Knox Software's New Database Backup Software for Oracle on Linux

SuSE and Arkeia jointly announced that SuSE Linux 6.3 and 6.4 are certified by Knox Software as compatible OS platforms for Knox's new database backup software for Oracle on Linux. As a Knox authorized reseller, SuSE will provide its customers in Europe and the US with consulting and support for installing and configuring Arkeia for Oracle RMAN on top of SuSE Linux. The two products enable database administrators to deploy cost-effective, high performance Oracle backup functionality on a network without concern for undiscovered library or kernel incompatibilities.
