The BlueCatTM Linux embedded operating system from LynuxWorks, Inc., has scooped the French magazine Electronique's Electron d'Or award for the most significant development in embedded tools and software over the last year. The latest release of the open-source operating system, specifically designed for use in embedded computing applications, can be booted from ROM or Flash, and supports M-Systems' Disk-on-Chip. LynuxWorks, Inc., formerly Lynx Real-Time Systems, is a developer and supplier of Linux and real-time operating system software for reliable and high-performance embedded computing applications.
