LinuxTag 2000: A European Mecca for Free Software Enthusiasts

LinuxTag 2000 is a four-day event at the Stuttgart Exhibition and Convention Centre that brings together leading companies in the Free Software field, as well as representatives of business, government, and software development. The event offers exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions, and networking opportunities for up to 20,000 visitors. LinuxTag aims to highlight the benefits of open source software and Linux in business and administration, and to promote synergy among non-profit open source projects. The event features over 100 hours of talks on Linux and Free Software topics, a keynote lecture by Richard M. Stallman, and networking opportunities through the JobForum. Admission is free for most of the event, with a fee only for the Business Congress section.
