SuSE Linux, a leading provider of open source operating system software, has opened a new headquarters office in Caracas, Venezuela. The company's CEO, Roland Dyroff, stated that the growing demand for high quality Linux, especially from commercial users, made it imperative to establish an office in Latin America. Xavier Marmol, a well-known figure in the Latin American Linux community, has been appointed to run SuSE's Latin America presence. The new office will offer a range of products, services, and training while actively engaging with business partners throughout Venezuela and other Latin American countries. Marmol's expertise in Linux will help expand SuSE's market share and promote an overall understanding and appreciation of Linux benefits.
