Penguin Computing Hires Brett Person as Senior Member of Technical Support Team and Open Source Community Liaison

Penguin Computing, a leading provider of reliable Linux systems for Internet serving, has announced that Brett Person, co-founder of Slackware, has joined the company as a senior member of the technical support team and Open Source community liaison. Person brings more than 15 years of software development expertise to Penguin Computing, including five years as a core team member developing Slackware Linux, one of the earliest distributions of the operating system. He also held development-consulting positions with IBM, North Dakota State University and the North Dakota Department of Rehabilitation. As a Linux expert, Person will be a valuable addition to Penguin Computing's technical support services for its product offerings - systems that integrate the market leading Red Hat (NASDAQ: RHAT) Linux distribution. In addition, he will be a key member of Penguin Computing's Open Source community relations team.
