New Linux Development Suite from Loki Software and theKompany.com

Loki Software, a leading publisher of games for Linux, has announced an agreement with theKompany.com to distribute PowerPlant, a suite of developer tools and software for Linux. The package includes over 150 Open Source tools, including compilers for various programming languages, as well as tools for 3D graphics, sound, interface, and Web development. PowerPlant is bundled with a fully-licensed version of the MySQL database system and includes a full version of Eric's Ultimate Solitaire from Loki Software. The package runs on all major Linux distributions for Intel Pentium-compatible processors and has a suggested retail price of $49.95, with installation and developer support included. A subscription service called the PowerPlant Developer Network is also available for $39.95 a year, which includes updates to selected software packages and an updated PowerPlant package each year.
