Penguin Computing Unveils High-Performance, Compact Relion 200 Servers

Penguin Computing has unveiled the Relion 200 servers at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, which offer high performance and reliability in a compact design ideal for clustering. The servers come with Red Hat Linux 6.2 installed and can be configured with up to two Intel Pentium III 850 MHz processors. They also feature a dual hot-swappable power supply and optional RAID configuration. Penguin Computing's Relion brand family includes other built-to-order rackmount systems designed for Internet serving, such as the Relion 100 and Relion 400 servers. The Relion 200 series is currently shipping, with pricing depending on customers' configuration needs. Basic systems start at $1,626.
