SuSE Linux Secures Strategic Alliance with IBM

SuSE Linux has appointed Malcolm Yates as UK Strategic Alliance Manager, who was previously with IBM for 21 years and responsible for developing the IBM Linux market in Europe. Yates is now working to strengthen joint developments between SuSE and IBM worldwide, resulting in recent announcements of SuSE Linux S/390 for IBM mainframes and support for IBM's RS/6000 range of servers. He has also been promoting European awareness of SuSE's new strategic alliance programme through Expos, presentations and educational events. The aim of the Strategic Alliance programme is to grow the business and develop working relationships and business partnerships within the IT industry.
