Linux Jumpstart! CD Simplifies Linux Installation on Alpha Servers

Linuxcare and Compaq have teamed up to simplify Linux installation on Alpha servers with the introduction of Linux Jumpstart! CD. The new CD quickly configures the server to boot Linux on most Alpha-based systems, allowing administrators to select their level of involvement in the setup process. It also doubles as a rescue/reboot disk. The Linux Jumpstart! CD is available immediately from Compaq free of charge and has been initially tested on popular Linux distributions such as Debian and Red Hat.
