Hewlett-Packard Partners with TurboLinux to Offer High-Performance Linux Solutions

Hewlett-Packard has partnered with TurboLinux, Inc. to bundle the TurboLinux operating system on its HP Kayak PC Workstation family designed for advanced design applications, high-performance 3D graphics and dual processing for optimized multitasking. The partnership will be available in North America and Europe starting September 1, 2000. HP will provide standard warranty support for its HP Kayak PC Workstations, with TurboLinux providing escalation support on its operating system through HP. This partnership offers customers the added value of choice, plus performance with Linux tuned for HP systems.
