SuSE Linux Extends Its Reach with Joint Venture in South Korea

SuSE Linux AG, a leading provider of open source operating system software, has announced a joint venture with Information Network Center (INC) Co., Ltd., a South Korean IT company. The new venture, SuSE Linux Korea Co., Ltd., will focus on extending SuSE's open source initiatives and development and sales activities in the Asian market. SuSE Linux Korea Co., Ltd. will offer training and certification for the Korean market, as well as a comprehensive package of applications including HancomWordR5, a professional word processor widely used in Korea. The joint venture is expected to enhance Linux as a relevant server operating system in the business space in Asia.
