IBM expands efforts to include Linux in Application Solution Center

IBM's Application Solution Center (ASC) is expanding its efforts to include other operating platforms, such as Linux, in addition to Windows applications. The ASC has been certified by Intel as a fully qualified 32-bit performance tuning and 64-bit porting center. IBM DB2 Universal Database was the first product tested with the new ItaniumTM processor and was prominently featured running on it at LinuxWorld in mid-August. The ASC is offering developers facilities and tools to accelerate the introduction of Itanium processor-based software solutions.
