Trolltech Releases Preview of Qt Linguist, an Open Source Application Translation System

Trolltech has released a preview of Qt Linguist, an application translation system under the open source BSD license. Qt Linguist works in conjunction with Qt, Trolltech's cross-platform GUI application framework, to translate applications. The tool allows users to seamlessly convert Qt-based programs from one language to another, and includes a pre-installed intelligent database of multi-lingual terms to assist in the translation process. Qt Linguist will work with both Qt/Windows and Qt for Linux/UNIX. Trolltech has released this preview under an open source license, as they are a firm supporter of the open source community and want open source as well as commercial applications to be able to benefit from the great advantages the Qt Linguist offers to translators.
