Tuxtops Launches New Debian Software Release for Laptops

Tuxtops is proud to offer its new Debian software release specially tuned for laptops. Now you can buy one of the company's premiere pre-configured laptops with Debian, or simply purchase the standalone software if you already own a notebook.

The Tuxtops Debian release finally makes this fantastic open source operating system available with a custom compiled kernel 2.2.17 (complete with .config file), PCMCIA 3.1.20, and specially tuned XFree86 configuration. Netscape and StarOffice 5.2 come preloaded. Add to that a free copy of O'Reilly's Learning Debian/GNU Linux with every pre-configured laptop purchased, and anyone is ready to run Debian right out of the box. Tuxtops' Debian software is available today at their newly redesigned website, www.Tuxtops.com/software.html. The company will be exhibiting at the Atlanta Linux Showcase (booth #209) October 12-14, 2000, and will feature their new easy-install software during their Install Fest and Stump the Chump contest.
