OSDN to Feature Co-Branded Jabber Instant Messaging Service on SourceForge And OSDN.com Websites
Jabber.com, Inc., a subsidiary of Webb Interactive Services, Inc., has reached a strategic distribution agreement with OSDN, a division of VA Linux Systems, Inc., to prominently feature Jabber open source instant messaging on two of its key websites -- SourceForge(TM) (sourceforge.net), the world's largest Open Source development center, and OSDN.com, the gateway to the Open Source Development Network. Under the agreement, OSDN will install and operate its own Jabber server and will offer a co-branded, open source Jabber instant messenger client to developers who use the SourceForge and OSDN.com websites. SourceForge is currently host to more than 10,000 open source projects and over 75,000 registered developers. OSDN.com, the gateway to the Open Source Development Network, is designed to provide users with unified access to the news, tools and services available throughout the OSDN network, which serves over 80 million page impressions to more than 3 million users each month on sites such as Linux.com, Slashdot.org and Freshmeat.net.
