Red Hat Linux 7 dominates Japanese Linux market

Red Hat, Inc., announced today that sales of Red Hat Linux 7 represent 40 percent of all Linux sales in Japan, gaining the largest share, according to BCN market survey report "BCN Market View". The press release highlights the enhanced security features and connection to Red Hat Network, which is an Internet management tool. It also mentions that Red Hat is the leading provider of open source solutions for Internet infrastructure ranging from small embedded devices to high availability clusters and secure Web servers. Additionally, it notes that Red Hat Japan, Inc., a 100 percent owned subsidiary of Red Hat, Inc., provides support, training, and services for users of its products in Japan.
