The European Zope users conference will take place during Linux Expo Amsterdam on the 23 and 24 January 2001. The Open Source software Zope is a Web application server and content management system developed by Digital Creations and by a worldwide community of developers. EuroZopeCon Amsterdam, like previous EuroZope meetings, is the answer to the growing interest for Open Source content management platforms in the Internet and Intranet business world.
The conference program will include talks for beginners as well as technical discussions for advanced developers. Zope is an Open Source Web content management software and an application server developed by Digital Creations, an American company, and a community of many external contributors. Zope lets teams of HTML designers and Web applications developers collaboratively build dynamic websites, like Intranets or portals. By providing functionalities like a search engine, a news publication engine, or tools for personnalisation and e-commerce, Zope help build sophisticated websites easily and rapidly, and reduce the time to market of those applications. EuroZope is an informal group of Zope users, developers and service companies in Europe. EuroZope is focused on Zope and Open Source evangelization, Zope localization in European languages and setting up Zope events during computer exhibitions and conferences in Europe. Linux Expo Amsterdam is the first event dedicated to the Netherlands' open source software and Linux solutions market. On January 23rd and 24th, 2001, the Amsterdam Rai congress center will host the event.
