Xi Graphics Inc., a privately held firm that specializes in premium graphics support software for Linux and UNIX systems, announced the release of version 6 of its line of Accelerated-X Display Servers(TM) for laptop, desktop and multi-head use. The newest version of Accelerated-X continues to offer the high performance and stability which have come to be associated with the Xi Graphics' name. In addition, version 6 offers numerous new features developed in direct response to customer requests. Some of the new features now available in Accelerated-X Display Server version 6 include support for VMWare, USB in Linux and Digital Flat Panels.
This customer-oriented attitude is also apparent in Xi Graphics' free technical support that comes with all products. Accelerated-X Servers come in three configurations: desktop, laptop and multi-head. The cost of Accelerated-X v6 is $99.95, $149.95 and $199.95, plus shipping, for desktop, laptop and multi-head, respectively. For customers supplying the serial number of an Accelerated-X v5 server, the upgrade to v6 is half the product price.
International pricing is slightly higher. Downloadable demos for the desktop and laptop servers are available at Xi Graphic's Web site at www.xig.com. Accelerated-X servers are available in boxed product form only and include a CD-ROM, manual and release notes. About Xi Graphics Inc.
