Gelecek Linux 1.0: A New Version of Red Hat for Turkish Users

Gelecek Linux 1.0 is a new version of the popular Red Hat distribution that aims to gain popularity among Turkish users. It comes with more than 750 packages and localized software, allowing users to choose their window managers during the login process.

The new LPRng suite is added for printing issues, and common problems seen on desktop regarding to Turkish locales are resolved. System administrators will benefit from the Webmin package, which minimizes system administration and reduces the time needed to control the overall operating system. A comprehensive and intuitive manual is available through Gelecek A.S, with an application CD. The downloadable ISO images are available starting from 01/16/2001.
