International Messaging Associates launches beta version of Internet Exchange Messaging Server 5, a messaging software that supports distributed computing environments and runs well on mixed Linux and Windows platforms. The product is designed to be a standalone messaging server with features such as POP3 and IMAP4 servers capable of creating multiple threads for simultaneous access and retrieval of messages in the Message Store. It also allows capability for limiting amounts of storage space allocated to a user, preventing the user from consuming all available disk space in the server. The product is priced at US$695 for beta participants and comes with free one-year support and a free 25-user license for its Message Store.
