SuSE Invites US High Schools to Participate in Free Linux Program

SuSE Linux has announced a new program to provide free Linux boxes to US high schools as part of an ongoing campaign to make open source computing the IT standard. The program is aimed at administrators, IT specialists and teachers of computer science at secondary educational institutions. SuSE will sponsor more than 2,000 boxes of SuSE Linux throughout public and private high schools. The company also welcomes open source development companies to join and support the program. SuSE Linux supports a wide range of applications that can enhance productivity within high school computing environments.
