Stockton Linux InstallFest Sponsored by LinuxHelpers

LinuxHelpers will sponsor Stockton's first Linux InstallFest just south of the historic University of the Pacific. The event provides an opportunity for individuals to bring a PC and get assistance with installing Linux at no charge.

Various recent distributions (similar to versions) of Linux will be provided, including SuSE, VA Linux, and Linux Mandrake. Drawings will also be available during the event, and the first 100 attendees will receive a CD of Linux Mandrake. The InstallFest is tentatively set to run from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm (13:00 to 18:00) on May 12, 2001 at 2730 Pacific Ave. Stockton, CA 95204.
