New Release of Lire Software for Analyzing Internet Server Logfiles

Stichting LogReport Foundation announces a new release of Lire software that analyzes internet server logfiles. The new release features a re-coded engine built around XML technology, providing greater versatility and performance boost. New features include firewall and ftp superservice, host of new reporting options, and detection of Code Red virus attacks.

Lire is written in Perl and released under the GPL license. It can be downloaded from http://www.logreport.org/. The online responder service allows users to send logfiles by email and receive a report back. Upgrades for the online responder are scheduled to be completed before the end of the month.
