LPI Releases Refreshed Level One Exams for RPM or Debian Package Management Systems

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) has released the latest English-language version of its Level One examinations, which now test IT professionals' knowledge and skills with a choice of either the RPM or Debian package management systems. LPI's mandate is to design and deliver a certification program from within the Linux community, using both volunteer and professional resources. The organization has been ranked number one on the list of certifications expected to rise in importance according to the 2002 CRN Certification study and has won the Linux Journal's annual Editors' Choice Awards in the Training and Certification category. LPI has delivered over 20,000 Level One and Level Two certification exams globally since its inception in just two years.
