IBM has announced that Japan's largest national research organization is the first customer to order the breakthrough technology of the new IBM eServer 325 to deliver the world's most powerful Linux supercomputer as part of a massive, distributed computing Grid. The IBM eServer 325, a new DB2 Linux cluster with support for the AMD Opteron processor, and expanded Lotus client software are a few of the new comprehensive offerings for Linux that IBM will announce at LinuxWorld. The offerings separate IBM from the competition and highlight its unique ability to offer scalable total hardware, software and services solutions that will help small, mid-sized, and enterprise customers save costs, solve key business issues, and integrate their e-business infrastructure.
