ActiveState Wins Product Excellence Award for Komodo at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo

At the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, ActiveState was honored with a Product Excellence Award for Komodo, their professional integrated development environment (IDE) for open source languages. The program provides a powerful workspace for editing, debugging, and testing applications on Perl, PHP, Python, Tcl, XSLT, and numerous other languages. Komodo was selected over products from finalists including Sun Microsystems, Zend Technologies, BUGOPOLIS, and Trolltech. PureMessage, the company's anti-spam and content filtering solution, also received recognition with the 'Best Sys Admin Tool' award. The Komodo development team works hard to ensure that Komodo runs as well on Linux as it does on Windows, and long-time Linux users are among their most valuable customers. The program will continue to evolve to meet the individual development needs of these groups.
