Ricoh Corporation Introduces BrightQ Printing Solution for Linux and UNIX Environments

Ricoh Corporation has introduced the availability of BrightQ, a printing solution developed by Codehost Inc. for today's IT system administrators and printer support personnel. The solution provides an easy to use, graphically rich X Window System and UNIX Shell-Based printing environment that supports all major Linux distributions and a number of Ricoh output devices. BrightQ includes features such as document duplexing, stapling, sorting and hole punching, and supports commonly installed print utilities such as CUPS, LPR, LPD, SMB and IPP. The solution is comprised of four core modules including BrightInstall, Codehost's License Manager, a Configuration Tool, and a Print Job Manager. BrightQ exemplifies Ricoh's goal of continually offering viable solutions that enhance their product line as well as improve their customer's bottom-line.
