GNU/Linux Vendors Respond to Forrester Report on Linux Security

GNU/Linux vendors Debian, Mandrake, Red Hat, and SUSE have joined together to respond to a Forrester report that claims Linux is less secure than Windows. The vendors believe the report treats all vulnerabilities as equal, regardless of their risk to users, and ignores the expertise of security response teams in the professional open source community. They also believe the report does not treat open source software and closed source vendors equally. The vendors have signed a common statement expressing their concerns about the report's conclusions.
