During this year's LinuxTag, a business and government conference is held on June 24th from 9am to 6pm in Karlsruhe. The program is divided into three parallel tracks, with speakers presenting the latest trends and usage potentials of Free Software in business and public administration.
Additionally, successful migrations of single companies and public offices will be presented. The conference is under the patronage of the Federal Interior Ministry (Bundesministerium des Inneren) and targets deciders and IT administrators in both business and public administration. The Free Software Press Agency was founded during this year's LinuxTag, with the goal of providing journalists and PR professionals with up-to-date and thorough background information about the Free Software universe. Tutorials are also offered for the first time at this year's LinuxTag, allowing participants to get a deep insight into single projects and topics.
