OpenPKG 2.1 Released: A Unified Software Administration Environment for Open Source Unix

The OpenPKG project releases version 2.1 of its cross-platform software packaging facility, which is now available for 21 different Unix flavors. The new release includes the latest versions of popular Open Source Unix software and technical improvements such as porting to additional platforms and the availability of a consolidated tool chain. The project was founded in 2000 by Ralf S. Engelschall and is maintained by its original developers and volunteer contributors.
