MetaInfo releases Meta IP v5.5 with new features for network and IP address management

MetaInfo has released Meta IP v5.5, the next version of its Meta IP software. The new features include a Web registration template and the SAFE DHCP SecureSmart Module designed specifically for integrating with the Perfigo SecureSmart and CleanMachines solution. The Web registration template lets network administrators streamline the capture of user data, and automate its entry into the MAC database prior to address authentication.

The SAFE DHCP SecureSmart Module protects against unauthenticated access, viruses, worms, malicious code and non-compliance at the IP layer. Meta IP v5.5 also accommodates a new Meta DNS Pro product, which includes more features and allows more DNS services, for a best practice DNS-only deployment. The MetaInfo Appliance series was developed to support Meta IP v5.5, and to provide customers with greater security, heightened performance, eased deployment, and set up. Meta IP v5.5 can also be deployed on Windows, Solaris and Linux hardware platforms.
