Desktop Linux Summit 2005: A Gathering of Open Source Innovators

The Desktop Linux Summit is a three-day event that brings together industry leaders in both desktop Linux and open source technology to share ideas about innovations, marketing, and the future of these technologies. The event will be held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego from February 9th to 11th, 2005.

Attendees can interact with open source industry leaders and start-ups participating in the Summit, attend events to learn more about Mozilla, the Firefox Internet browser, and OpenOffice.org, creator of the open-source office productivity suite. The famous Del Mar Fairgrounds will be the site of the event, with exhibition hours from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on February 9th and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 10th and 11th, 2005. For a $99 registration fee, attendees will have access to all events and exhibition areas, plus receive continental breakfast and lunch each day and a free T-shirt. The pre-registration price of $99 includes admission to all three events, booth exhibit areas, and all speaking events, as well as continental breakfast, lunches and a T-shirt. Interested attendees will want to register early at www.desktoplinuxsummit.org/attendees.

After January 7th, the registration price increases to $175. Exhibitors interested in reaching the active open source community should visit www.desktoplinuxsummit.org/sponsors for information. Each exhibitor fee includes a booth with backdrop, marketing opportunities, and access to all Desktop Linux Summit events. Last year's exhibitor list included Sun, Novell, Redhat, AMD, and many more. This year's broadened schedule will cover cross-platform Mozilla and OpenOffice.org technologies and will offer an ideal audience to reach key decision makers.
