Mandrakelinux 10.1 for x86-64: The Future of Computing

Mandrakesoft has released Mandrakelinux 10.1 for x86-64, a version of its Linux Operating System that runs on AMD x86-64 and Intel EMT architectures.

This new release features EVP and mixed software support, and ships with a large amount of quality Open Source and commercial software. Mandrakelinux is now every bit as stable on 64-bit platforms as it is on 32-bit machines, and the software has been optimized to take advantage of 64-bit Intel and AMD processors. Users who still need to use 32-bit software are not out of options: Intel and AMD 64-bit processors have the capability to run 32-bit code, and Mandrakelinux makes that simple. EVP (Enhanced Virus Protection) is now also available under Mandrakelinux. Mandrakelinux 10.1 for x86-64 is compatible with the following CPU's: AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Xeon 64, Intel EM64T. Mandrakelinux 10.1 for x86-64 can be pre-ordered now from Mandrakesoft's online store and will soon be available through retail channels worldwide.
