Google Joins Southern California Linux Expo as Silver Sponsor

Google has joined as a Silver sponsor for the Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE 4x), which will be held on February 11-12, 2006 at the Los Angeles Airport Westin. The event is expected to attract a large number of companies and organizations, including IBM and Scalix, as well as non-profit groups such as NetBSD, Debian, KDE, Ubuntu, Fedora Core, Cinepaint, Knoppmyth, CACert, Linux Astronomy, Open Source Exchange Replacement Project, LTSP, X.Org, FlightGear, Wikimedia Foundation. The expo aims to provide users with expanded floor space, more exhibits and an increased number of tutorial sessions for users at any skill level. The Call for Papers has been extended through December 3, 2005, and interested parties are encouraged to submit abstracts now. SCALE 4x is a platform for businesses, academic institutions, and the Linux community to learn more about Linux and get the most out of Open Source offerings.
