The 4th SoCal Linux Expo drew a record crowd in Los Angeles, with attendees and exhibitors from diverse locations across the US. The expo featured keynotes, sessions, and fun & games, including a trivia contest and a talk by Hans Reiser about the Reiser4 file system. Exhibit highlights included IBM's partitioned iSeries server running Linux, Novell's stuffed Tux, and LFS Technologies' flight simulator. The LUG area was always packed with Linux enthusiasts. SCALE 5x is expected to feature more big names in the speaking sessions, expanded exhibits, and a larger venue.
