Squish/KDE: froglogic GmbH supports KDE's QA efforts with a free version of their leading Qt GUI testing tool

froglogic GmbH has announced the availability of Squish/KDE, a special edition of their leading Qt GUI testing tool designed for applications developed for the popular K Desktop Environment. The free version of Squish can be used to create and run tests for Open Source KDE applications, and froglogic will also fund part-time testers to create tests for the core applications of KDE. This cooperation is aimed at supporting the QA efforts of the Open Source project KDE and giving something back to the community. Squish/KDE offers a versatile testing framework with a choice of popular test scripting languages, open interfaces, add-ons, integrations into test management systems, a powerful IDE, and command line tools. The tool works on different platforms such as Windows, Linux/Unix, Mac OS X, and embedded Linux.
