GoboLinux 013: A New Major Release of the Alternative Linux Distribution

GoboLinux 013 is a new major release of GoboLinux, an alternative Linux distribution. The release features improvements in the build infrastructure, resulting in cleaner builds and major upgrades including Xorg 7.1, KDE 3.5.3, Glibc 2.4 and GCC 4.1.1. The management tools have also been updated with new versions of Manager and Compile. GoboLinux is available as an ISO download and features a modular filesystem that allows every program to be used directly from the live environment. The installer is now built as a series of SquashFS images, providing greater flexibility when customizing the CD. The new release includes a tool for listening on filesystem events and assigning actions to be performed automatically.
