The company will use MySQL Cluster for a wide range of applications, including Mobile Office/IP Centrex, Messaging, Prepaid/Calling Card, Softswitch and Mobile Service Delivery Platforms. Key data management requirements across these applications include 24x7 availability, real-time performance and scalability to handle millions of subscribers. Teligent has established offices in more than a dozen countries on five continents and is seen as a leader in the open source market. The company's choice of MySQL is seen as a natural component in its strategy where cost-effective, modular design is a key concept.
