McObject, a developer of groundbreaking database software for Linux-based embedded systems and intelligent devices, has appointed veteran software executive Christopher J. Mureen as chief operating officer with primary responsibility over sales and marketing. McObject develops the eXtremeDBTM in-memory embedded database system, which is optimized for high performance demands and minimal resource availability of embedded systems applications. The company has a proven track record of providing special-purpose editions such as eXtremeDB High Availability (HA) for fault-tolerant applications, eXtremeDB Transaction Logging, and a 64-bit eXtremeDB that supports databases hundreds of times larger than the original 32-bit.

The company has a strong customer base and is on the cusp of very fast growth. Mureen brings to McObject a track record of more than 20 years in software sales, marketing and business development in both startup and established companies. He will leverage McObject's visibility/brand recognition and help build the organization to make that growth a reality.
