froglogic has announced that its automated GUI testing tool, Squish, now officially supports Nokia's Maemo platform.
The Maemo platform is an open-source software platform that powers mobile devices such as the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet and is developed in collaboration with many Open Source projects. Squish is a professional, cross-platform GUI and regression testing tool that enables testers to create and execute automated GUI tests for applications based on a variety of different GUI technologies. This includes applications based on Nokia's Qt, Java SWT/Eclipse RCP, Java AWT/Swing, Web/HTML/AJAX and many other UI technologies. Squish stands out from other GUI test tools thanks to its close integration with each supported GUI technology, which helps ensure that tests created with Squish are very robust and stable. froglogic supports a wide range of desktop and embedded platforms for automated GUI testing and is the market leading GUI testing tool for Qt-based applications. With Nokia's Qt engagement, a lot of Qt applications will be developed for embedded platforms. By officially supporting the test automation of Qt applications on the Maemo platform, froglogic strengthens Squish's leading position as a cross-platform / cross-technology automated GUI testing tool.
