Openvirt 2.0 Released with New Virtualization Features

Digital Networks has released Openvirt 2.0, a full virtualization platform for Linux, Windows, Solaris and FreeBSD virtual machines. The platform is based on Ubuntu 10.04 Server LTS and includes new features such as live migration, high availability service, kernel samepage merging, guests disk usage monitor, centralized SQL server for monitoring records, full system logging, power distribution units support, cluster test, pre-built templates for various operating systems, batch cloning, release check service, and many minor other refinements. The platform is completely free of license fees and has a web-based control panel for easy management. Openvirt provides commercial quality virtualization that is accessible to organizations, allowing them to save money in license fees and have real access to their data.
