In a nod to its roots, the Open Networking and Edge Summit (ONE Summit) is set to return to Silicon Valley next year, marking over a decade of thought leadership in open networking. The event, which has served tens of thousands of attendees from across five continents and 200+ countries, will take place April 29-May 1, 2024, in San Jose, California.
A Decade of Innovation: From SDN and NFV to AI and Edge
Since its inception over a decade ago, ONE Summit has evolved from a focused conference on Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) to a robust, cross-industry ecosystem gathering. The event now covers the most innovative topics within the broader networking and edge space, including AI+Networking, IoT/Edge and AI, Open RAN, Enhanced Connectivity/Access, Enterprise & Multi-Cloud Networking, Security, and more.
"We are excited to return to our roots in 2024 with a robust face-to-face event in Silicon Valley," said Arpit Joshipura, General Manager of Networking, Edge, IoT at the Linux Foundation. "ONE Summit 2024 will usher in the next ten years of open source innovation across what was once 'networking' to 'open networking' - a massive cross-vertical ecosystem advancing as the world becomes more connected and immersive."
A Platform for Global Engagement
The ONE Summit is the premier industry event that brings together decision-makers and implementers for a week of activities. These include co-located mini-summits from affiliated projects, industry-leading keynotes, robust breakout sessions, and a two-day Developer and Testing Forum. The conversations focus on the technologies that connect people and data – including 5G/NextG, AI, Access, Edge, Telco, Cloud, Industry 4.0, Enterprise, Government Infrastructure, and more.
Registration, Call for Papers, and Sponsorship
Registration and call for papers will open later in 2023 on the ONE Summit 2024 website. Interested parties can also explore sponsorship opportunities by viewing the sponsorship prospectus or emailing the team for more information.
Co-located Events, Regional Days, and LFN Developer & Testing Forum
LF Networking collaborates with other leading organizations in the ecosystem through co-located events hosted by sister communities within the Linux Foundation. Projects or communities interested in hosting a co-located event at ONE Summit should email the team for more information. Additionally, ONE Summit Regional Days, new in 2023, are smaller, localized events across the globe featuring the same great content from a traditional ONE Summit format. Upcoming regional days include events in Europe and China.
The LFN Developer & Testing Forum, a community-generated technical event addressing challenges and celebrating successes, will take place in-person November 13-16, 2023, in Budapest, Hungary. Stay tuned for more information; sessions from the recent June D&TF event are now available.
